March 23, 2004

Congrats to Donna Cohen of Plymouth, MA. She is Feb. contest winner.

February 22, 2004

The show at Somewhere Else was amazing. The guys played for 90 minutes after one of the other bands had to pull out of the line up. HR went on early enough to play for the younger crowd that hang out at the Tavern. The crowd ate the show up. After HR played a band from Wilmington, NC hit the stage. The band was called Session 9. They kicked ass as well. The two bands are going to try and hook up later down the road in both the Triad and Wilmington. What a roadtrip that will be.

Both the Great White and Warrant shows have been cancelled for March. Look for the Stephen Pearcy show at Hartley's on March 14th. It will be a good one. It has been awhile since we have had new pics, but here are some for your viewing pleasure. As always Bang Til U Bleed!!

February 15, 2004

Check out this video of the guys doing the new song "Grind". Thanks to Christine Williams for the footage.

February 10, 2004

Railers', it has been awhile since we have updated the site. Hope everyone is having a great 2004. First off let's congratulate Laura Lowe of Egg Harbor TWP, NJ. She is January's contest winner. Ok, February is jam packed with your chance to catch Haiz Rail play live. If you missed them on the 6th, you can still se them on the 14th or the 21st. Check the club dates above for where they are playing.

If you missed the Feb. 6th show at Ace's Basement, you missed an awesome show. This was the first time HR has played there. HR played along side of Orphan Soul, Pathogen, and Beyond Glory. The guys really enjoyed playing at Ace's. Some video of Haiz Rail has been shot, specifically at the Ace's Basement show. As soon as I can get my hands on the footage, I will post some clips for your viewing pleasure. Also, additional video has been taken at several shows by friend of the band Christine Williams. Some of this footage will be posted as well. Keep checking back for video clips. Look for future shows with Orphan Soul, Defiant, and Beyond Glory.

The guys have 6 new songs written. If you have been catching recent shows you have heard 2 of them. They are "Grind" and "Undertaken". Keep your ears open for more new songs at future shows.

On Sept. 27th, don't forget the Audio Anarchy CD Release Party at Somewhere Else Tavern. 10 local bands are set to play that night. Also, pick up a copy of the compilation disc. It has some great bands on it.

Don't forget to enter this month's contest. The prize is a copy of "Crossroad Overload". Good Luck. Bang til U Bleed!!

September 4, 2003

Hey Railers'!! I hope everyone made it to the CD release party at Somewhere Else Tavern last Saturday night. At long last you had the chance to buy Haiz Rail's new album "Crossroad Overload". Not only could you buy it, but the guys played every song on the album for your listening pleasure. And isn't pleasure what it's all about? Well if you missed it, shame on you, but you can check out some pictures of the "cool" people who came to rock.

August 22, 2003

Well the time is finally here!! Crossroad Overload will be available at the August 30th show at Somewhere Else Tavern. It has been a long time in the making, so make sure you get a copy at this show. Also on the album front, The local band compilation CD is out and will be available at the same show. This CD not only features Haiz Rail, but also Chemical Youth, Social Outcast, and many more. Grab up copies of both of these discs.

Make a note that the BulletBoys show on Sept. 19th has been moved from Hartley's to BrewHaHa's in Winston-Salem. If you do not know where this is, BrewHaHa's is the old Baity's club off of Cherry Street. It is next to Ziggy's. Bush Hog will playing that night as well, so don't miss it.

August 10, 2003

Haiz Rail will be featured on a compilation CD of local bands. The disc will be available on August 16th with a CD release party on Sept. 27th at Somewhere Else Tavern. Haiz Rail is set to play around midnight.

The "Crossroad" disc is being finished up. The guys are approving the artwork this week and will then begin printing and have CD's made. It will only be a couple more weeks. Bang Til U Bleed!!

July 21, 2003

Great news on the club scene in the Triad area. A new club will be opening on September 1st. The name of the club is Hartley's House of Rock. It will be on South Main street near Lowe's. When I get an exact address, I will post it for you. Some of the upcoming shows that I have heard about are The Bullet Boys, Warrant, LA Guns, and Faster Pussycat. It will be great to have a new place to hear metal music in the area.

July 16, 2003

I hope everyone likes the new look of the home page. Did you notice the new album cover? Email the guys and let them know what you think. HR is shooting for the end of August for the release of "Crossroads Overload".

Thanks to everyone who came out to Somewhere Else Tavern on July 12th. The pictures that were taken that night will turn up in the insert of the new CD. Check it out!!

July 12, 2003

Congrats to Jesse Waters of Greensboro. He is the winner of June's contest.

The guys have been working on the artwork for the cover. I think everyone will like it. When I get the art, I will post it for everyone to see. Don't forget to head out to Somewhere Else Tavern tonight. The guys go on around midnight. Check it out!

June 11, 2003

I have to tell all of you HR fans out there in cyberspace that have heard the new album and it is great. I know a lot of you have been hearing some of the songs at shows, but I think you will be quite pleased when you hear it. It is heavy, full and bang your head against the wall great!! The guys are working on the art for the cover and will then begin to have the CD's made. I promised you some clips and they are coming. Until then get out that chair and go see Haiz Rail playing June 14th at The Satellite in Winston-Salem.

May 31, 2003

The time is nearly here Railers! Haiz Rail has finished the studio work on Crossroad Overload. All that is left to do is print the covers and press the discs. That means the new record will be in your hands very shortly. It has taken a long time to make this record, but once you hear it I think it will be worth it. Currently there are only four copies, so as soon as I get my hands on one of those copies I will post some clips for you.

Do not forget that on June 7th at High Rock Lake there is a two day show that HR is playing. The guys will play at 2:00 PM on Saturday June 7th. Tickets are $10.00 and you can buy them at the gate.

May 3, 2003

Congrats to Mark Smith from Hampton, VA!! He is April's contest winner. Enjoy that CD Mark.

April 26, 2003

Don't miss the show at Somewhere Else Tavern tonight. The guys go on late, so make a night of it and go see them. HR was back in the studio on April 24th and 25th, doing the final mix down on the Crossroads album. On the health news front, Les has developed an aggravated throat muscle. He is waiting on the results from some tests he had run. As of this writing the guys are still playing. The guys have been hard at work learning some new covers for your listening pleasure. Bands like Saliva, Seether, and Nickelback are a few of the new covers they will be playing soon. New songs are also being written and perfected to keep you guys on the edge of your seats.

March 30, 2003

Railer's, I hope you all made it to the Somewhere Else show. If you missed it you missed a great show. HR took the stage after Mimic. I tell you what, Mimic is a kick ass band. They set the crowd up and then Haiz Rail knocked them down. What a great combo of music. Hopefully the guys will get to team up with Mimic again in the future.

On the album front, the guys are still trying to get the final mix finished. They hope to have it out by the end of Spring. It has been a long time coming. Also, the winner of February's contest was Susan Dixon.

February 15, 2003

I hope all of you Railers' were at the Somewhere Else show The other week. If not you missed a good band from Japan. You also missed a band that Haiz Rail will be playing a few more shows with and that is Defiant. These guys rock. They play covers of some really hot bands like Tool and Disturbed. You can check then out along with HR at The Satellite in Winston-Salem or in Graham in March.

Now to album news, the final mix is in the works as we speak. I have a copy of the title track "Crossroad Overload" in my hot hands. It sounds great!! I want to share a clip with you. Click here for the clip! Enjoy! I also have a copy of the 9/11 song that Moose wrote and Haiz Rail recorded. It is heavy. Reminds me of Judas Priest. Click here for the song!Don't forget that Haiz Rail will be playing at Somewhere Else Tavern on March 22 with Mimic. Those girls rock. You will not want to miss that show. Remember BangtilUbleed!!!

February 1, 2003

Congrats to Beverley Wilson of Pleasant Garden, NC!! She was January's contest winner of an autographed picture of the guys. Enjoy Beverley!

January 31, 2003

Hey Railers'! Happy New Year to everyone of you. The guys have really laid low for January, trying to get the finishing touches on the long awaited "Crossroad Overload" album. They recorded a new song for the album called "Remember". The guys debuted the new song at a Super Bowl Party. "Remember was a hit. They are now starting to do the design work for the cover art and line up the company to press the discs for them. The guys are on the search for more gigs so that you can see their smiling faces up on that stage, of course that is in between banging your heads. Do not forget the Feb. 1st show at Somewhere Else Tavern. The guys always put on a great show there. BangtilUbleed!!!

December 12, 2002

Congrats to Darryl Cook of Sophia, NC. Darryl is the winner of Novembers contest. Enjoy the CD Darryl!!

November 26, 2002

The guys just completed recording America 9/11/01 at Demolition Studios with Moose on backing vocals. This song is finished all but mix down. This makes up one of the first songs HR has written and recorded with Drew. The next step is to go back into Orangutan Studios and record "Remember", a newly added song to the "Crossroad" album. Then put the hammer down on finishing the CD. It has taken a long time to finish, but the guys finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. What is that phrase, "Hang on to the Rails...". It won't be long Railers. Happy Thanksgiving!!

November 18, 2002

Two big congratulations are in order. First, Haiz Rail and myself as well as the entire HR family want to say Congratulations to Tuggy and Linda on their engagement!! We never thought we would see the day that Tuggy would be a married man. All of our best the two of them!

Second congrats goes to Chris Somershoe of Greensboro for being the winner of October's contest. Congrats Chris!!

November 17, 2002

I hope all of you Railer's made it to the show on the 15th. If not, you missed out. HR put on a great show. Rogue Society and Chemical Youth played as well. The Klick was headbanging that night. I know that I had a great time! Well, the time is drawing closer to the release of Crossroad Overload. I heard a mixed down version of the title track and let me tell you it rocks. Friday night was a Haiz Rail family reunion. I saw people that night that I have seen in years. We had a blast! Hr closed the place down that night. Make sure you do not miss the Somewhere Else show. We will be taking names. BangtilUbleed Railers!!!

November 3, 2002

I have some great news for you headbangers out there. Haiz rail is putting the finishing touches on the new album. I was in the studio with them the other day while they worked on the final mix down. This album sounds great. I think you will be blown away!! The guys recorded this album at Orangutan Productions, which is owned by producer/engineer John Deaton Jones. I have to tell you that he knows his stuff. HR chose correctly when they went to him. Check out some pictures of John's studio along with the guys doing the mix down. The guys are working hard to get the album finished and pressed for distribution by Christmas.

October 27, 2002

Ok Railers listen up!! You only have four more days to enter this month;s contest. Get those emails in. Next, I have some great news for eager little headbangers out there. Those clips from "Crossroad Overload" I promised. Here they are. Listen and be blown away.

October 19, 2002

Railers, we are getting so much closer to the release of HR's new album "Crossroad Overload." Right now I am listening to the new demo disc. On Oct. 20th, Allen is going into the studio to EQ his drums and then Les will go in to do leads and then the final mix. It sounds great! There are a couple of additions to the album. A new song called "Remember" has been added and Broken was rewritten and is now called "Fallen." I think you will be pleased with this album. It has that HR sound we all love with some extra octane added. The guys have been playing quite a few of the songs off the new album, so you already know that they rock. I hope everyone turned out for the guys return to The Klick. If you missed it your next shot will be in November. So get out there and Bang til U Bleed!!

October 6, 2002

Well Congratulations go out to Beverley Wilson, she won September's contest. I will post some pics of her receiving the stage sign as soon as they are developed. Congrats Beverley!!

The guys played for about an hour and a half at the Tavern last night. One of the bands cancelled out so the guys went on early and played a long set to close out the night. If you did not make it out, HR previewed a new song co-wrote by Moose and Les. You guys know Moose from his work as a DJ at WQFS. Of course he did a metal show. The song is about the attacks of 9/11, it is called "America...9/11/01". The song will appear on a compilation disc of local bands. No release date as of yet, but I will let you know as soon as I do. Ok, just a reminder that the guys are playing on Oct. 18th at The Klick and now there is no cover at The Klick. So this means you can all get out there and go wild without having to pay some outrageous charge to see a band play. So get out there and Bang til U Bleed!!!

September 29, 2002

Only 1 more day left for you to enter September's contest. The entries have been pouring in. Do not miss your chance to win.

In album news, Les has finished his lead vocals on the "Crossroad" album. The guys are heading back to the studio on October 12th to do backing vocals and lead solos. Then after that comes the mix down and finally the release of "Crossroad Overload". No release date is set, but if you guys bang your heads hard enough, maybe Santa will bring you some new music for Christmas. I will keep you informed. Don't forget, HR is playing Somewhere Else Tavern on October 5th. That is this Saturday!! So get out there and Bang Til U Bleed!!

September 19, 2002

Hey Railers!! I guess you read all of the dates that the guys are playing over the coming weeks. you will have your chance to overload on Haiz Rail in October. It has come to my attention, that now The Klick no longer has a cover charge. That is great news!!! Now you can come see HR play and not have to pay to get in. Armed with this knowledge, I expect you to drag all of your friends to see the guys play since they can no longer have the excuse of it costing to much to get in to see a local band play. The show on October 18th should be wall to wall Headbangers!!

A note to all of you who have not entered this months contest. you only have 11 days left to enter. If you have not checked out the prize this month, it is an autographed stage sign the guys used for the "Hang on to the Rails" shows. Check out a picture of what you could win.

September 6, 2002

Bad news for all of you Raiders looking forward to the LA Grille show on Sept. 7th. The show has been postponed until LA Grille puts up a security fence. It appears that after the guys blew the place up, the man said that they were breaking some city ordinance. Maybe one good thing might come out of this for all of you liquor drinkers. Hopefully they can sell liquor outside so you won't have to make so many trips back to the bar inside. I guess we will see. Right now I do not have a new date for that show, but as soon as I do I will post it for you.

I have some new pictures of the show HR did in New Jersey at the Metalfest. These are some great pictures. They were taken by Allison Eisenberg of Iron Mountain Images. Check her out. You should really take a look at these pictures, Click here.

September 5, 2002

The winner of August's contest is Susan Benedict of Marion IA. she wins a copy of "Hang on to the Rails and Ride" for her headbanging pleasure. Congrats Susan!!

August 30, 2002

Where were all of you Raiders on the 24th? You missed a great show at the LA Grille!! It didn't rain for once and the guys played two extra long sets. They were so loud that people from over a mile away were coming to see who was playing. As well as the old folks from that same distance saying HR was to loud. It was great, over a mile away you could hear the guys rock. It was quite a good time, we missed you.

If you have been listening really hard at HR shows as of late, you will notice some new cover tunes that have been added. The guys have been putting that HR spin on tunes from Alice Cooper, ZZ Top, and coming soon to a stage near you Stained, Stone Temple Pilots, and Creed. All of these plus your favorites from Metallica and AC/DC. But the most important songs of all, those Haiz Rail originals that blow your skull cap off.

On the album front the guys have been making some headway on finishing up. Les has been in the studio laying down vocal tracks and with the money they have been making from playing recently, will soon be able to put the finishing touches on "Crossroad Overload" and get it to you. BangtilUBleed!!!!!!

August 18, 2002

The LA Grille show on the 17th was rained out, so the guys rescheduled for August 24th. So you still have a chance to check them playing by themselves. They will be playing two long sets starting around 9pm. This is an outside show, so you can get loud!! News from the Crossroads album is that Les has gone into the studio and laid down vocal tracks for 3 of the songs. What I was told was that the songs smoke. This looks to be the best HR album yet. The guys are hoping to get it out in the next 2 months. Guess what everybody in your family should get for Christmas this year?

Just a reminder to all of you Railer's, the September contest is coming up and the prize is going to be something great!! Make sure you enter often. I will let you know what the prize is later, but I think you will like it.

August 9, 2002

Railer's, I finally got some new pictures for you to check out. These are pics from Brewhaha's. If you have not gotten out to see the guys lately, this will be your chance to check out Drew. But you really need to start gearing up to get out there and see him along with your favorite crazy band. You know who I mean. Well, your chance is coming up on the 17th. The guys will be playing three sets at the LA Grille in High Point. They will be playing all your favorites along with some old HR tunes you may not have heard for awhile.

Also Raiders here is a long over due link to Drew's other band Drive She Said, Check him out.

August 4, 2002

It is time to announce the winner of July's contest. The winner is Florence Kirkland of Middleburg, FL. Congrats to Florence. I have some great news for you HR fans that have been wondering what ever happened to the "Crossroad Overload" album. The guys have been in the studio laying down some new guitar tracks. Les will be going in on August 10th to start on the vocal tracks. There is no release date set, but this is good news to see the guys back working on an album that has been eagerly awaited for by everyone. It will be great to have some new HR material to crank in your stereo.

Also, to let you contest junkies know. September's contest will have a very special prize, but I am not going to tell you what it is just yet. I want your minds to run wild with what it could be. Until next time BangtilUBleed!!!!

July 7, 2002

It is time to announce the winner of June's contest. The winner was Cheryl Blask of Herkimer, NY. Congrats to Cheryl.

I hope everyone can make it to the July 13th show at Brouhaha's in Winston. There will be four bands playing and it looks like the guys will be going on around 9pm. Brewhaha's is where the old Baity's bar used to be (for all of you old timers). They closed it all in and made one big club. So get out there and support your Haiz Rail. I will see you there. BangtilUBleed!!!!

June 30, 2002

The Somewhere Else show was one not to miss. The guys played 14 songs with the fury of Haiz Rail of old. the guys were back in form with Drew on the bass again. Haiz rail played along side of Bush Hog and a couple of other bands. At one point in the show, members of Spyderbonz were on stage with Bush Hog doing Kiss tunes!! The guys went on at midnight and played for an hour, but what an hour it was. Drew is fitting in to the band quite nicely. They even got Tuggy up on stage to sing Crawl. This was more than a HR show, it was a party!! Make sure to be a part of the party on July 20th, when HR comes back to Somewhere Else to play. BangtilUBleed!!!!!!!!!

June 23, 2002

Well, I hope everyone was at Rendezvous' to see the guys rock. There was not a huge crowd, but the guys put on a great show considering Drew, who plays guitar for Drive She Said, stepped in to help the guys out. After one phone call and one practice, Drew filled the spot. It was strange hearing Les sing songs like Invein. But, he sounded good doing it. Everyone there had a great time. The band may be doing a show there again at sometime in the future, so keep a look out for it.

June 9, 2002

The winner of May's contest is Lou Harris of Middleburg, Fl. Lou wins a HR shirt. Congrats to Lou!! The June 21st show looks like it will be moved and as soon as I find out when it is, I will post it for you. So keep checking back. The search continues for a bass player, but a few stand-ins have been lined up so the guys can keep playing out. As of this writing, Haiz rail is still playing on June 15th at Rendezvous' in Spencer, NC. I hope all of you Railers' are planning on turning out. Remember Bang Til U Bleed!!!!

June 4, 2002

Ok Railers', if you have not heard already David has left the band. Yes, it comes as a shock to a lot of people, but this was a decision made by all of Haiz Rail. I will not go into any details over the reasons why, but what I would like to say is that myself and Haiz Rail want to wish David every success in his next musical endeavor and that he will be missed.

What does this mean for Haiz Rail? Well the guys are in the process of auditioning bass players. They have at least three different people that I know of whom are wanting to try out. As they say, the show must go on. The guys have cancelled the LA Grille show, but are determined to make that show the only one. Bass players from all over Greensboro have come forward to lend support as stand-ins until Haiz Rail can find a permanent replacement. People do not want Haiz Rail to quit and they won't.

So as of this writing, the June 15th show is still on in Spencer, NC. Haiz Rail wants and needs your support now more than ever before. So let's all get out there to Rendezvous' and get crazy!

May 15, 2002

Railers', hope everyone is starting to gear up for another HR show at the Somewhere Else Tavern on May 24th. Hey, if you happen to be off work on Friday the 24th, I have something for you to do on that Thursday night (May 23rd). Hop in your car and head down to Ziggy's by the Sea in Atlantic Beach, NC. The guys are trying to break into Ziggy's in Winston-Salem and the only way they can is to play in Atlantic Beach first. They can use all of the support they can get. Can you say ROADTRIP!!

HR is trying to get back into the studio to finish the Crossroads record. It looks like it might be the end of summer before the record is ready. Let's hope sooner than later! Currently it is not set in stone, but it looks like the guys will be heading to Milwaukee, WI. for the Metal Meltdown Festival in July. A lot of the same bands that were in New Jersey will be at this show as well. Let me tell you by first hand experience, if you can go to this 2 day show by all means go!! We had a great time in NJ. From what I have heard, it is supposed to be as wild at the Milwaukee show. As soon as the guys confirm that they are going, I will post the link to the show website. From there you can get directions and tickets.

May 14, 2002

Haiz Rail would like to congratulate Beverley Wilson of Pleasant Garden, NC. She is April's winner of the HR contest. Congrats Beverley!!

April 17, 2002

Hello Railers', I guess you have noticed that HR is not playing at Salvino's this Saturday. the owners of the place thought that you guys would be too rowdy in their place. Rowdy?? Railers'!! Not you guys. I guess they are scared. Oh well, April 27th is just around the corner and the guys will be at Somewhere Else Tavern. Everyone always has a good time there. So, save your cash this weekend so you can go to the 27th show and go crazy!!

It took a while, but I finally got some pictures of the New Jersey show on the site. As I get more in, I will keep posting them. Here is the first batch. Some of these are pretty good. Check these picture out!!

April 9, 2002

Well, we made it back from New Jersey in one piece. What a trip!!!I wish that all of you Railers' could have gone with us. The festival was great. There had to be over one hundred bands playing, 3 stages with one band right after another for two days. It was non-stop head slammin' action!!!We saw Blitzkrieg, Rob Rock, Manowar, Steel Attack, Cannibal Corpse, Nightmare, Nuclear Assault, Virgin Steele, Havoc Hate, Saxon, and many, many others that I cannot remember all of their names. There were bands from all over the world, England, France, Holland, and Thailand just to name a few. It was incredible!! You could walk from stage to stage and listen to some of the heaviest music you wanted. There were a lot of death metal bands and whether you like them or not, some of them are very good at what they do.

Now, I know you want to know how the guys did amongst the death metal. Well, they killed!!!! the crowd loved them. The guys hit the stage at 6:00 PM and for 25 minutes the world belonged to Haiz Rail!!!! the crowd went nuts when when the guys tuned their guitars to an Iron Maiden song and once Cell of a Madman grabbed them HR never let go.The set list was Cell of a madman, Better Left Unsaid, Crawl, Hang on to the Rails and Ride, and finished them off with Invein. After the set ended, the crowd screamed for more, but to no avail. Haiz rail had left the stage. Once HR went backstage, they were besieged by well wishers in other bands that were amazed at just how good they thought the guys were. It did not stop behind the stage either, everywhere the guys went people stopped them to compliment them on the music. the guys had taken CD's to sell at the show, but decided instead to give them away. All in all they gave away 150 CD's. People were getting them to sign the covers, have their picture taken with them, it was like they had hit the big time.

There was mention of getting together with some of the national acts to possibly do some shows. We heard talk of maybe Europe and Florida, as well as Chicago. HR met a few bands from close to our neck of the woods as well. They might try and bring them to Greensboro or go to Virginia or Georgia to play. Between the five of us whom were in the audience, we took a lot of pictures. Jimi took a camera backstage and got lots of shots of different bands. All in all it was one helluva adventure!! The guys were great, the festival was great, and now HR can reap the rewards of a job well done.

Once I get the pictures from everyone, I will post lots of them for you to see. In the Links section, we will be addind links to some of the bands from the Metalfest. Check them out.

With other news, March contest winner Hunter Newnam will be getting her shirt very shortly. Do not forget that April's contest has started and you can enter everyday for your chance to win HR stuff. Also, do not forget the Salvino's show on April 20th. We need your support at this show. Well Railers' that about wraps it up for now, remember Bang til u bleed!!!

April 3, 2002

Well Railers', the time is here!! We are all packed up ready to head to New Jersey to bang some serious heads. The van is loaded and ready to roll. I cannot wait to see HR on stage in Jersey. They are playing on stage two, the same stage as Nuclear Assault. Hr is playing a five song set that includes Crawl, Cell of a Madman, Broken, I Bleed, and one other song yet to be settled on, nut leaning to Hang on to the Rails. I will take as many pictures as I can so that you guys can see the whole experience. I am psyched!!

On to new album news, As you know the guys went into the studio in March and laid down the rhythm tracks for the new album. They are hoping that by the end of April, they will be able to go back into the studio and do the vocal and lead tracks. The goal is to have "Crossroad Overload" out by the beginning of summer end of spring.

The March 29th show was a blast. I hope you guys made it to Somewhere else Tavern. I heard that the band D S Requiem was fantastic. A must see the next time you hear of them playing out go see them. Well Railers' time to go for now, but I will be back with all the dirt from Jersey along with pictures. Bang til You Bleed!!!

March 19, 2002

Ok Railers' this is it!!! I have the demo disc of the guys in the studio on march 9th. This is where they laid down the rhythm tracks and a scratch vocal track. This is going to be a great record!! I cannot stop listening to it. The sound is a lot heavier than the normal HR sound. I think you Bangers out there are going to love this record. I have put four clips from the Crossroad Overload record here for you to get a taste of what is to come at the end of Spring.

These are the eight songs that will appear on the next HR record Crossroad Overload

1. Better Left Unsaid
2. I Bleed
3. Broken
4. Crossroad Overload
5. Drainin' Me
6. Losers Gain
7. Shadowed Life
8. All Smoke and Mirrors

March 10, 2002

Hey Railers', I have to tell you that I heard the songs that are going to be on the next album. They are great!! The sound is heavier than anything else the guys have done. You will be impressed. I was. Well, the guys have gotten started on "Crossroad Overload". They went into the studio on March 9th and laid done some tracks for the eight songs that will appear on the record. They are taking their time on this record, so it probably will not be out until the end of Spring or the beginning of Summer. I am working on getting clips of the the tracks they just laid down to play for you. HR is now turning their attention to the Jersey show. Working on the set list, getting things as tight as they can, and pumping themselves up for it. Keep checking back as we get closer to the Jersey show for more updates. Railers' remember Bang Til U Bleed!!!

March 6, 2002

The winner of February's contest is Susan Dixon of Virginia Beach, VA. We hope she enjoys her Haiz Rail cap. Congrats Susan!!

It is official!! The guys are heading back onto the studio to start recording Crossroad Overload the next HR album. They go into the studio on March 9th to record the rhythm tracks, and follow that up with the leads and vocals after the New Jersey show. They are still writing new material and honing the the finished songs for the album. This is shaping up to be the heaviest HR album yet. The guys have been playing one or two of these new songs at some of the shows just to get your reactions to them. So far everyone loves them. The March 29th show at Somewhere else tavern is going to be your last chance to see the band before they head to New Jersey. So get out there and show your support. I will let you know how the studio sessions go. Until then Bang Til U Bleed!!!

February 10, 2002

I hope you did not miss the show on the 8th. If you did you missed a good one. It had been awhile since the guys had played out and they were itching to get back out there. The contracts for the New Jersey show are being signed and delivered as you read this. That will be a helluva weekend for you metalheads. I cannot wait. I made a link to the MetalFest website, so you can get tickets and directions on how to get there to support the guys. Check it out! As for new music news, it appears the band is heading into the studio around March 9th. to start on the next HR record. It is titled Crossroad Overload. Keep checking back for clips of the new stuff and more info as I get it.

December 8, 2001

It is time to announce the winner of November's contest. The winner of a HR T-shirt is Patricia Jarrett of Greensboro!! Congratulations to her and thank you to all of those whom entered. Remember, the winning never ends. So be sure and sign up for December's contest.

I do not have any solid information to give you about the New Year's Eve show that the guys are supposed to play. I am not sure if the new Klick will be open in time. Please keep checking back, as soon as I get the info, I will post it for you.

November 25, 2001

Ok Railers', here it is!! The name of the next HR album is going to be called "Crossroad Overload"!!!! As of right now I can tell you the names of six of the songs that will be on this album. They are Crossroad Overload, Drainin' Me, Broken, Better Left Unsaid, All Smoke and Mirrors, and Shadowed Life. I have heard four of these songs and this album is looking to be the best Haiz Rail material yet. I am still working on getting some clips to share with you, so keep checking back. Les told me that the guys were going to try and do a little recording soon.

Also, the New Jersey show is now set in stone. The guys will be playing the New Jersey Metal Meltdown 2002 on April 6th, 2002. They are set to play sometime between 3pm and 5pm that day. You have plenty of time to plan for this trip, so start packing and planning now to be there. I know I will. Do not forget that the Somewhere Else show is November 30th. The guys are raring to get on stage and play for you. Get out there and see them!! Until next, Bang til You Bleed!!!

November 13, 2001

We would like to congratulate Kevin Laffery of Lexington, NC. for being October's Contest winner. Kevin won a copy of "Hang on to the Rails and Ride". We hope Kevin enjoys banging to the Haiz Rail sounds everyday! Do not forget that November's contest is still underway. You could win a Haiz Rail T-shirt.

November 7, 2001

It appears that the owner of the Klick has sold off some of his interest in the club to some other investors. The Klick will no longer be a rock club. The rumor I got was that he is looking at the Chinese restaurant beside K & W cafeteria on Big Tree Way right off of Wendover in Greensboro. That is near the Wendover - I-40 intersection. If the deal happens, I also heard that they would serve food along with your healthy dose of Haiz Rail. This new club is supposed to be open by New Year's Eve. That is when the guys were to play at the Klick. For now that show is still on, but at the new place. As soon as I hear more concrete info, I will pass it on to you.

With more definite plans, do not forget the November 30th show at Somewhere Else Tavern. If you are lucky, the guys might play one of their new songs. I was at practice the other night and they played four of them for me. They smoke. Trust me, you will be blown away. If they play one, it will probably be "Broken". David sings this song and does a phenomenal job of it. This song is as heavy as it gets. I hope they play it for you. How about this, everyone just scream out for them to play the song until they play it. You cannot deny the will of the people. So get out there and scream for "Broken".

The guys are on their way to the New Jersey metal festival in April 2002. They paid for a slot to play at the three-day event. This past April, it was estimated that there were over 50,000 people in attendance. Pack a bag and get a ticket, this is going to be the show of shows. Haiz Rail will rock New Jersey!!! Let's recap. Somewhere Else Tavern on Nov. 30th, the new Klick (Sorry, I do not know the name yet. ) on New Year's Eve, and New Jersey in April 2002. Your plans are made. As always Railers' Bang til u Bleed!!

November 5, 2001

The November 9th show has been canceled due to the fact that the Klick was sold and is no longer a rock & roll club. The owner will open a new club by the December 31st show. I will give you more details as I get them. This show, which was to raise money to help pay medical bills incurred by our friend Tuggy's father, will be rescheduled for a later date.

October 26, 2001

Haiz Rail would like to thank everyone whom voted for them at buzzardrocks.com. It is nice to see how many people out there like our music. We would also like to thank 100.3 for picking us as one of the top 8 bands in this area. That in itself is a great accomplishment considering the amount of talent we have around here. To know that of all the fantastic local bands, that we are regarded that highly by people gives us a sense of belonging and makes us want to work harder to please you, the fans. We would also like to congratulate Storm who won the contest and gets to play in Charlotte. We hope this chance takes them far.

With that said, let's talk about some HR news. The guys are writing new music as you read this. They already have 5 new songs down with more in the works. The plan is to hit the studio sometime after the first of the year. So in just a few short months we should have a brand new Haiz Rail album to go totally nuts too. So you need to get out there and see them play live, because they will be testing some of these songs out to get your reaction. Keep up the support and keep coming back for more news on when to expect the next album as well as all of the show dates. Remember, Bang til you Bleed!!!

October 14, 2001

How's the Headbangers! If you missed the Guitar Pics show, it was a real blast. The guys had children making mosh pits in the store. You should have been there. They gave away a few guitars, some mic equipment, and T-shirts. We had a great time. Haiz Rail sounded huge for such a small area to play in. The next club show is a very important one for the guys. A very dear friend of all of ours is in need of a helping hand. I am sure that most of you know Tuggy. Well, Tuggy's father has been sick for awhile now and as we all know, the cost of medical procedures is astronomical these days. Haiz Rail is asking everyone to please come to The Klick on November 9th and help raise money to offset some of the huge expenses incurred by Tuggy's father. We promise that for your support of this cause you will be completely entertained. Not only will you see Haiz Rail, but also Chemical Youth will be playing as well. There will be two other bands on the line up, but I will have to give you that info next time. For now though, clear your schedules and plan to be there. It will be worth it and we would appreciate it.

The guys played their last show at the Klick in it's present location. Everyone cannot wait for it to re-open. Hope it is soon! There was a good crowd for the guys to bang heads with. If you listened really close, you heard a new song. The song is called "Broken". I heard it at practice one night and trust me, it will blow you away. As it stands right now there are at least four new songs that are going to be added to the playlist soon. I am trying to get clips of the songs and when I do you will hear them here first.

So, you need to get to Brew Balls on Sept. 22nd to see if the guys slip in a new song or two for your listening pleasure. Don't forget to enter September's contest to win a Haiz Rail cap. Bang till you Bleed!!!

While Allen is relaxing at the beach, The rest of the guys are headed to Atlanta to attend a music industry convention. Hob knobbing with the label guys and management people. Good luck guys!! During August, the guys will be writing new stuff. One song that is in the works right now is a song called "Broken". I heard it at practice a week or so ago. Man, You would not believe it. June 16, 2001

What a night in Burlington. BREW BALLS just didn't know what to expect when the guys hit the stage for the first time. It was like the whole place exploded. Starting off the show with "Taken By Storm," Les couldn't help but laugh while watching the expressions on peoples faces. It didn't take long before the area in front of the stage was consumed with a crowd. These people were shoulder to shoulder, raising their fists and banging their heads. Such a "BIG" sound coming from a small stage the response from the crowd was enormous. The band gained alot of respect from this crowd by slamming down several cover tunes such as Skid Row's "Piece of Me", Ozzy's "I Don't Know", Megadeth's "Peace Sells" and Metallica's "Seek and Destroy". All the while, the response was even more intense when David belted out the lyrics to "Invein" and "Cell of a Mad Man". Two set lists and three hours later, the guys left the stage to be surrounded by people wanting CD's and autographs. All in all, it was a good night. HAIZ RAIL is looking forward to playing there again soon. Keep checking back to see when they play there again.

I told you that there were pictures of Haiz Rail playing with Hotter Than Hell. I bet you did not believe me, did you? Well, I have them. Check these out, HTH looks great!!

May 11, 2001

Their April 27th show at the Klick went great. Haiz Rail was scheduled to play a 45 min set as an opener and ended up slamin' down an hour and ten minutes of their best original stuff. The crowd couldn't get enough they were wide open the whole night. From songs like CRAWL , IT HAPPENS, to INVEIN and HANG ON TO THE RAILS AND RIDE this show was not one to be missed. When it was time for HOTTER THAN HELL to hit the stage the people were in awe, some of them couldn't believe how good they looked. From the make-up to their stage antics these guys were right on the money. The guys are looking forward to playing with them again sometime down the road! Saturday April 28th HAIZ RAIL played in High Point, NC at TURN # 5 SPORTS BAR for the first time. They gained new ground and new friends and looking forward to playing there again soon! Haiz Rail dug deep into their past for some songs they haven't played in while such as "KNOCKING ON HEAVENS DOOR (Guns & Roses version) which was requested before they even hit the stage. Haiz Rail kicked out two awesome sets ending the show with MOTLEY CRUE'S version of "HELTER SKELTER" and left the stage with the crowd yelling for more!!!!!!!

There are pics out there of the Haiz Rail/HTH show. As soon as I get my hands on them you can all feast your eyes as well! Keep checking back and remember, Headbang til you bleed!!

April 5,, 2001

Let's get up to date. David had his nasal surgery. Everything went well. He is on the road to recovery. David is not supposed to put any strain on his throat for a couple of weeks, but should be okay for the April 21st show.

The guys have been hard at writing new material as of late, and should be performing some of the new songs very soon. I have heard that they are heavier than previous outings. Looking for more of a Black Sabbath feel. As soon as I hear one of the songs, I will let you know.

In the better late than never category, here is a link to a few pictures of the Ratt show in January.

Keep checking back often, because soon you will be able to buy Haiz Rail merchandise using this site. At first it will be printing an order form and mailing it in, but we will be moving to buying right from the sight soon after. So, check back and buy stuff. Well, until next time, Headbang til' you bleed!
